Welcome, 2023!

One would think that retiring from their 9 to 5 job might give them more time to devote to their passions, and usually, that would be true; however, in March of 2020, the entire world went into panic mode and hibernated for nearly three years.

While the rest of the world was freaking out, socially distancing themselves and participating in the world’s largest clinical drug trials, I turned my creative efforts to crafting for charity, specifically sewing, knitting, and crocheting scarves and beanies for Operation Gratitude. This group of kind-hearted folks sends care packages to “all who bravely serve our nation.” To date, with some help from my mother, we’ve donated nearly 700 scarves, beanies, and mini flyers in the past year. I’ve been busy.

Now that the world has returned to some semblance of normal, conventions, and historical events have returned, it’s time to refocus on the costumes, sewing, and selling my wares. My apologies for the price increases across the board; as with everything else in our crazy post-COVID-19 fallout, materials have gone up for us sewists as well.

I hope you like the new, more serene website, too. It was time (pun intended) for a change.
